Teachers without Simon = crap. Teachers with Simon = Godly.
Kurt and Brian have been annoying the piss out of me more and more each week since Simon left. They were rather amusing in in the first two series, when they were strictly in the background, playing the idiot comic foils. When Simon, Susan and Jenny left, they made the mistake of thinking that Kurt and Brian could be the main characters, when they really should have developed Matt more. Lyndsey rocks, obviously, as she's from up north (even if she _is_ a mackem, she plays a geordie). Penny's also really good. If the writers had only focused on the characters that actually have a bit of - you know - depth and appeal, it might not have sucked so bad lately.
But now Andrew Lincoln is back to save us all. Hopefully the brothers gimp will soon be relegated into the back and Teachers will return to its former greatness.

Yeah, but since Jenny left, there's really been no point when it comes to showing or discussing arses on Teachers. I mean, why try to better perfection?

Was it ever explained where Jenny and Susan actually went? I missed the first episode.
I'm sorry, but Lindsay's an absolutely rubbish replacement.

Was it ever explained where Jenny and Susan actually went? I missed the first episode. I'm sorry, but Lindsay's an absolutely rubbish replacement. Actually, I was rather fond of Lindsay for the first time last night. And Matt, actually. I think I like them better in small doses. I was very, very pissed-off that Penny only got to speak about three times though. Especially since she and Simon always hated each other. Couldn't they have done a bit more with that? Andrew Lincoln's chest looks good these days, doesn't it? I was pretty taken aback when he took his shirt off. I know he was always fit, but was he always that fit? And they never said where Jenny and Susan (or JP) went. In fact, they haven't mentioned Jenny or JP at all, and Susan was only referred to briefly in the first episode. Annoying.

I think it speaks volumes that I forgot to ask what happened to JP.

Says it all, doesn't it?
JP was annoying. But it was nice to have a bender kicking around in the background. And, if he hadn't turned-up, Brian would never have questioned his sexuality, and been all vulnerable and confused, and made me realise that he was stunning, etc etc.
Quite possibly my favourite Teachers moment ever was Susan, Brian and Kurt together in Brian's bed, while JP noisily shagged some bloke on the sofabed in the next room. Fantastic.

So when I watch last night's episode on video (I was out), will I like Lindsay? I've wanted to like her all series, but there just never really seems to be any purpose for her being there, other than to point out that Penny doesn't like fat people, which I think I could have worked out on my own.

You might do. And you'll get very excited by Andy Lincoln's chest. I know you.
