You call me buddy quite a lot, and to be honest I rather like it. I tend to describe something as "the funniest thing I've ever heard" quite a lot. Punkiatrix always calls me 'darl'! I don't mind though I have to say I'm the same about getting over-excited about things, mainly songs. Usually whatever CD I'm listening to is my favourite ever. I can't really think of any phrases I overuse. Maybe 'fab/fabby' or 'yay' which are probably very annoying. Jessica

i've a bad habit of calling people buddy when i'm trying to be butch I call other gay lads 'mate' all the time. Because they're usually camp, and I'm not. And, if I fancy them, it becomes 'matey'. But no-one picks up on that, as no-one even realises I'm gay, usually. I work on a checkout in central Manchester. I see many gayers over the course of my working day.

oo, and another (cause nick just used it on another thread).. i say lovely, lovely too much too. another welsh thing. I say 'very exciting' in a Welsh accent, when something's, erm, very exciting. Someone did it on TV once, somewhere, and me and my mate Phil nicked it. But I've no idea where it's from. I was only about 15... 'Buddy' doesn't make you sound camp. As long as you don't USUALLY sound camp. I always quite liked it when lads called me 'bud[dy]'. It was kind of fraternal and sweet. What a poof I am.

yah fookin' bastard! scary spice, rar! Nah, it's more of Hugh-Grant-in-Four-Weddings thing. Although I AM from Yorkshire. But I'm a nicely-spoken boi. He was a boi / She was an elocution teacher / Can I make it any more obvious...?I never had elocution lessons, by the way.
My mum did, though. As a child. From Jeremy Clarkson's mother, no less!

I would like to point out that although I am a soft southern git, I always pronounce bastard with soft northern vowels because it just sounds better that way.
