I'm from Edinburgh (but lived 3 years in York), home of the Edinburgh Festival, Edinburgh Castle, a gun that goes off at 1 o'clock every day and some, if not all of the Bay City Rollers.

Born in Kingston-upon-Thames but moved to Aberdeen when 7 - not off my own back though, parents played a big part in the whole move decison.
Aberdeen - where the sun only shines on tv......except for the last few weeks where the powers that be appear to have confused the place with Tenerife and there are now a whole lot of dazed pink peeling people wandering about!

I come from Marvellous Middlesbrough. Yes we have brought you the likes of um....mavis from corrie and Chris Rea.
On the plus side though we also brought Captain Cook, the one who found Australia and the cooks islands etc. The town is kind of deicated to him. Everywere you go you will see something to do with him such as the bottle of notes, endeavour replica ship in the town centre, captain cook birthplace museum etc.pretty good for a man who was born about 300 years ago. and my best mate Jenny is a very distant relative of his

Also from Wigan: Limahl and Richard Ashcroft. Ashcroft's mum used to cut Limahls hair.
