I love Byker Grove! I still watch it It's just funny and lots better than Grange Hill. Definitely a working class kids show though. I guess the BBC kids shows should be the middle class ones. I watched Postman Pat and Spot and Playdays, they are probably good examples. The new ones like Bing And Bong are the pikey ones. Jessica

Dot was ace. And that wobbly guy at the tent stop- and the weird thing that stood in the back and someone would turn his moustache round for a laugh
Anyway, Poppy pissed me off no end. I hated that cat and her stupid bastard voice.
I was lucky enough to catch Yellow Submarine on the Mr Jolly stop (or Roll up and ride on Rosie stop or whatever it was)
And I saw Zoe Ball on it once
Playdays RULED

I hated that cat and her stupid bastard voice. The cat was by far the best character. REPENT! SINNER.

I was on playdays when i was 4, i even got to meet Dave and Chester who went outside at playtime to entertain us all. They filmed in our school for a whole week and produced two lovely episodes feauturing me and my friends. I was annoyed though cos i had to stick my hand in plaster paris (i can't spell it!) and they made me put the hand which i sucked in, and i couldn't suck my hand or my thumb for a whole day! But i got to speak and had a close up of my mad, grinning, little, podgy face going ' It feels squishyyyy.' Dave was ace!

Wow FC I am jealous of you! My sister once said she saw Dave Benson Philips (that was his name?) driving into a carpark but no-one believed her. Which makes this yet another of the rubbish and pointless stories I seem to be full of at the moment Jessica

I think their ace and they make me laugh, which, in the words of Alyson..is bonza! I think Get your own back is still on but now some women presents it with him and both the adults get taken up on the chairs to be gunged at the end. You thne have to answer questions and the adult on the highest seat is dropped.

I'm so pleased someone else appreciated Dot at the DotStop and Finger Print farm which featured regularly.
Everytime PlayDays was on, I hoped and prayed that it would be Dot Stop, but one day they just stopped showing it.
I wonder who it was who played Dot? And the silent guy who hung around. I always wondered if they were abit more than just good mates.

Playdays is on CBeebies at the weekends, if that helps. 7:40am and 11:40am, I think.
But it's not been the Dot Stop for ages. It's always the bloody Whybird stop...

It was by far the best. I remember seeing an interview they did with Dot. I cant remember when or what was said. i didnt like the Peggy Patch Stop. It was very boring. Nothing actually happened! they just stuck a doll in the middle of the country side
