Who will it be?? There's no Will, Gareth, Blazin Squad, Blue, 888 or Atomic Kitten in the 12. Will it be one of them? Or will it be a second entry for Girls Aloud, Sugababes or even SC8??

It should be Go-Oh-Olden Retriever by Super Furry Animals*
* waits for Nick, BestWorst, AA Logan or ANYONE to back him up

I went with 888's "Knockout", because...
(a) They're, like, PJ's band and should really have been nominated in the first place (b) By nominating this, I improve my chances of getting on the judging panel.

I'd like to see S Club's "Love Ain't Gonna Wait For You" and S Club 8's "Fool No More" in the final twelve.

I think PJ took songs from August 2002 and after, MOTD was late 2001 IIRC, so that wouldn't count.

I already put in a bid for These Are The Things by Black Box Recorder, which was immediately mocked by Mr PJ. Bastard. But if you don't know the song - find it/download it/buy it, listen to it, and I'll think you'll find that it's most definitely the loveliest, shimmeriest, breathiest pure pop moment of the year. With chimes on. So bloody there.

I may have to agree with this but your description of it makes me claw at my eyes in a way that suggests you are utterly missing the point, although I can't quite put my finger on why. If no further Ladytron entries are forthcoming then SURELY Action by Saint Etienne is a hugely deserving candidate, being as it is the sound of the sun coming up over the city in summer in Xtina-filching glisteny wash form and riddled with magnificent striving yeah yeah w00t. Alternatively, Bloodbeat by Patrick Wolf might just qualify, but I'm not optimistic.

You know I fraternally love you so very, very much. You're a truly wonderful person, a joy to behold, and a damn fine receptionist, or whatever it is that you do. But, with the greatest respect, you're talking bollocks.

I'm as yet undecided. Either SOTU (which should just replace NGA) or Tide is High (although that's too coversome).
I'm inclining Aloudwards...

I would've liked SOTU there but I prefer NGA, so for me it makes SOTU redundant.
So I'd quite like to see Siobhan Donaghy - Overrated or even better Siobhan (ex Bananarama/Shakespear's Sister) Fahey and Bitter Pill, a song which desperately needs the recognition it deserves. Plus the record company Miss Fahey is signed with could do with the £20.

Sinead Quinn- What You Need Is, she'll make more money if she wins this, than her entire album sales
