I can't believe there's not a thread about them here (unless I've missed it) though I'm sure most of us know what happened to them, I'm sure it's been discussed before (probably under a Girl Thing thread).
But anyway they deserve a thread of their own (even if it is in the dumper), Dirty Water is fab.

i dont remember it. not a good sign. Not many people do that's why it needs to be covered to give it the recognition it deserves.

Nooo, Dirty Water is top, someone should cover it, maybe Clea. I totally agree. Love this song with a passion. Their disinterested TOTP's performance was all very Sugababes-y, funnily enough pre-Sugababes! The song was covered a few years back by Bardot (The Australian ‘ Popstars'). It was to be the 4th single taken from their 2nd album ‘Play It Like That’, but sadly it never happened as the girls split!

I preferred "Shut Your Mouth", their second single... I like Made In London, did their album Perfect Storm ever get released, I SO wanted that!

Does anyone remember on the Monday after they were dropped they appeared on the Big Breakfast for a pre-dropped organised promotional thing and they couldn't be arsed and just slagged off the record industry for never giving artists achance....yada yada yada.
It stuck in my mind as richard bacon looked amused and donna Air just carried on asking the questions like, " so girls whats next? Touring? An album?"
"no the dole queue you dumb bitch!" if i was in the band thats what i would have said.
They were also defending scooch saying they got dropped just because one of them got pregnant( one of the girls I'm assuming) and record companies have no souls and such.
Nearly made me choke on my pop tart!

Their disinterested TOTP's performance was all very Sugababes-y, funnily enough pre-Sugababes! Well with Clea apparently being "early Sugababes" they must be the perfect people to cover Dirty Water then.

God, I LOVED Dirty Water, although it has to be said, album was V V V poor. Strangley, their best work (besides Dirty Water) was the b-side to said single which wasn't on album, I'd Wish, and a very faithful version of Wendy & Lisa's 'Satisfaction', again not on album, just on one of them Smash Hits free with mag CD's.

As for Scooch, didnt one of them get knocked up by the manager? made in london were the bollox! got both their singles. natalie powers got knocked up by her bloke, met them at a party on sat and prob embarrassed myself very much. trying to force tequila on her even tho she was driving, and singing scooch medleys... uh oh. a fast food rocker was apparently there as well. bizarre.

natalie powers got knocked up by her bloke We gathered that, but was 'her bloke' Scooch's manager or not? Scooch were dropped because they were shit.
