Does anyone remember these indie kids? Hugely underrated album 'Nuisance' with the hits 'Daydreamer' and 'Being Brave'. Had a second only in Japan but was a bit poo really.
All got forgotten in the Oasis/Blur hype.

My favorite 'Swear moment was Stardust, mainly because it rhymed "leather trousers" with "they arouse us".
Heard their second album. It costs about £30 on import. They've gone for a weird sort of country direction which doesn't really work. Still, nice try.
I wonder where Chris from Menswear is now? The NME seemed to write about nothing but him and who he was tupping each week back in '95.

I listen to them quite often. I like that wonderful chirpy tone on "..alleviates that feeling of doom and GLOOM". And "I stole his shoes and ran away, trying JOLLY hard to see if we could catch him round the bend". They were pioneers of having members who were a very narrow variation on one theme. Like how Supergrass are all different kinds of monkey, Menswear were all different kinds of attractive* Indie men. Except Matt who looked pure pop. *well no-one was the rough one at least

Anyone know what Mr. Dean is up to these days? That said, We Love You wasn't very good really. I'll manage somehow, though....Yay!

Last I heard, the lovable Johnny Dean was working for a mobile firm company up north. Crazy.
Being Brave was genius, JD's fringe questionable. What more can you ask for?
