God, Rialto were a great band..
They were kind of a more stylish Pulp with John Barry-isms thrown in.
very french indie pop.
The songs were faultless... Monday Morning 5:19, When We're Together,
Their two albums (and mini album) were near perfect.. and yet they never had a major hit...
Now singer Louis ELiot is doing it alone...
Shame how the greatest bands never get their time in the sun.
but at least some of us get to share in the glory.

I absolutely loved Rialto. The opening lines to Untouchable is one of my favourite couplets ever.
"If you were an angel, I would cut off your wings To keep you with me I would do anything"
It's so tragically romantic, it's beautiful.
Is his solo stuff any good?

Do you guys rate Interpol? I wasn't into Rialto but I thinkt they sound similar. I think Interpol are good, but I can't say I've noticed any sorta similarity with Rialto, Rialto were a more epic, windswept kinda thing while Interpol are quite dark and brooding. The obvious Interpol comparison is Joy Division.

Interpol were my first Shazam, so I must kind of like them.
Rialto were great.
