ahh the early-evening genius that was Heartbreak High! loved the way it was meant to treat "serious issues" but always ended up being a who's-shaggin-who type soap.
favourite memories
-that girl who fell off a cliff in home and away (was she called fleur in any of her incarnations?) turning up as an "alternative" (ie doesn't wear crop tops and minis) singer - someone else off home and away turning up as katarina - drazic! he rocked the show. started out as a punky rebel then became the moral master of the show (much in the same way as toadie did on neighbours) - Nitaaaa and her fit brother ryan. they were the only cast members i recognised when i watched the later episodes. - the comedy headmaster. and the way they occassionally tried to follow the teachers' lives.

Don't forget Nick, the boy with no brain and half a tongue. (ps - sorry to the last person who posted, I deleted what you said by mistake. I haven't got the hang of this moderating thing yet)

Is that wrong? I'm sure she was called Stephanie at one point. All I remember was that she was a Somalian refugee who spoke perfect English with an Australian accent.

some friends of mine formed a [horrible] heavy metal band. they were very proud of their 'big signiture number'. they refused to believe me that actually it was the heartbreak high theme with extra drums. eventually they believed me. they split up soon after.
dennis in roxanne was one of the best storylines.

My favourite person in Heartbreak High was the girl in love with Drazic who was always up to Criminal behaviour...and his love couldn't save her, and thus she was arrested after trashing a restaurant, and in true good soap style, was never seen again....

Yeah that chick was great, her and Anita had a bitch fight in the toilets and she called Anita Barbie, which I never understood, even on the repeats, cos she was blond too, probably blonder and just as stupid.
Drazic rocked that school
Oh, haha, remember the schools name was Hartly High, and when they needed some new characters the school fell down and the all moved to a new school called Hartly Heights....two schools in one city with such similar names, that would just be confusing

I believe the politically correct term is "scrag fight"...ha ha. And yeah, she was always "stay away Barbie!" which was odd...
And remember when the guy from the Mexican restaurant was challenging Despo to a duel, and then offered him a business venture? They strung 6 episodes out of that...

So few people are challenged to duels on television these days. Maybe that's what makes our lives seem so empty.

There should be more duel challenging on TV, I agree. Nick and Angie should have challenged each other to a duel on Home and Away...would have racked...
Further Out Of This World episodes...
73. New Kid on the Block
There's a new guy in town and Evie makes a date with him so she can show him around Marlowe to make him feel welcome, but when Chris comes back to Marlowe, after transfering to "Marlowe Community College", Evie tries to hide from Chris so that he won't know that she is seeing someone else.
b: 06-Oct-1990
NOTE: Mr.T guest stars in this episode. In this episode, two new cast members are introduced. Tony Crane plays as Jeff Cummings and Peter Pitofsky plays as Peter, a waiter at the "Goodie Goodie". Alyson

Ah Despo! how tops was he?
My fave all time character was Mai, she was so excellent, untill she started sexin' with Drazic and they had to write her out. And Charlie was awesome too.

I was always a bit of a Bolton fan...I loved Drazic...I loved when he beat up Anita's cop boyfriend...constable piggy...hee hee...
Remember when Drazic's scrag girlfriend trashed the Shark Pool? I was SPEWING!

That Drazic and Bolton thing....on the show, whenever a character would leave, they would replace them with another one that was VERY similar. All the time they did it.
I worked it out once but I can't be bothered to think of any more examples other than bolton/drazic
You said Spewing!! Yayay!
"I was so spewing I missed A Country Practise last night!"
Ah, Chuck A Spew needs a comeback too

Heartbreak High meandered in circles for a while too. I think they ran out of storylines for a while near the end. Drazic was the best in the whole show...I have too many Drazic memories to go through on one board!!!
And yes, I was SPEWING if I missed it! Keep the comeback alive!

When they resurected it in 97/8 with the new characters - Mel, Katerina, Charlie, Anita, Ryan,Mai, Drazic and Co., they were all at the start of their final year.....3 years later they still hadn't finished. (though most of them had moved away)
It was like 90210 but less realistic
