To be honest, I kinda wish it doesn't make the Top 10, because if it does, Popjustice will be done, and the site will close (yes I know the same gag was used for tATu winning Eurovision...) - I give this shiznit...

I like the new version but of course I was there the first time round. It's always been a top song and it's a shame that the only kind of exposure it's getting is because it's been mashed with Dannii.
My favourite bit in the new version are the sex noises at the start.

YEY!!! Finally Glam will be put back into the charts!!!(well, hopefully anyway). Those covers are soooo fabulous, I would be buying copies only for that!!But turns out I really start to warm up to the Metro remix after seeing it together with that rather marvelous video!!! Hope it will be number one as it DESERVES to get there!!!Thanks for making this Pete Burns week, his is truly one of the only glamour stars left!!!!

I'm worried that the single is going to be under-stocked, sell out in certain places (inner London record stores etc) and it won't be able to reach its full potential.

I still haven't heard the new version yet, although I did get a promo with some of the mixes on a few weeks ago, but the song itself is absolutely fantastic, a genuine classic, not just in the world of pop, but in the world of all recorded music ever.
Although, in the pub last night, my mate described it as the worst song of the eighties. But he likes the Corrs and Celine Dion, so what does he know?

god bless you, mr. justice! pete burns week - fabulous idea!
i'm not sure whether or not to buy the single - i'm a big fan, but as a rule i tend not to buy singles. definately buying the greatest hits package, though. i really hope it does well - i'd love it for dead or alive to release an original album of new material here in the uk.
i don't think i need to tell you how tops i think you spin me round is.
cheerio!

At least there is a chance that people will listen to classic tunes with this release. I've had the 12" Metro mix for months now.

I really think the Metro mix is not the best mix. Although it's grown on me (esp. together with the video!!). I just LOVE the D-Bop mix, if only they used that version for the single, even make 2 edits, one Metro and one D-Bop edit, the D-Bop mix is THE mix thats being played at my local....!!! I ordered my copies through HMV.co.uk and it seems they've sold out as my order is a Back order now

Can you explain what shiznit means? I presume you mean you give it top marks? Also Viduka was offside but so was Henry when he scored against MUFC but that was okay!!! Dead Or Alive - its great to have this classic back.

"You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)" really is one of the finest pieces of music ever recorded - even after all this time it still gets a brilliant reaction wherever you hear it eg local gay fleapit/dirty student union etc.
I'm not crazy about the Metro remix (sounds like a bad Kylie bootleg to me) but will still buy it to hopefully get the mighty Pete Burns back in the charts, and if it is a hit they will have the chance to release new material.
Would love to see Dead or Alive sandwiched between Westlife and Atomic Skank on CD:UK - that would brighten up my Saturday morning!
