I never liked N&S, I don't even remember this song, but for some reason I got an e-mail the other from a fan who wanted to know what they're doing now. Why should I know? It was quite worrying.

I really liked it! It was the only N & S single I bought - remember their crap TV show "No Sweat" - I only watched it for the lovely Lee Otter (great name!)

that was the bestest funniest programme!
i remember they had a really dodgy manager, 2 girls who always used to follow em for the chance of a snog, one was called carly, sam's mum had a thing with the manager i believe and they travelled about in a caravan.
do i remember too much?

No, didn't they follow the girls around? Because the girls had boyfriends who were N&S rivals if I remember correctly.
Anyway, I don't remember this song at all, but didn't Lee have a go at a solo career?? I remember seeing his naff video, but the single flopped...

It might me my crazy little mind playing evil tricks on me, but im sure Mark of A1 fame was in North and South. I dont think he was in the tv series, just the band. I have never heard this single, the only one i can remember was 'im a man not a boy', fantastic. This may be where Britney found her inspiration.

Am I right in thinking that there were two series of No Sweat - the first where they had character names, and the second where they used their real names. I'm sure I remember Lee being called Gregory Fuggle in the series. The song was okay, but I'm not sure I'd call it a corker.

yes thats right SHP.
I liked North & South. Last I heard of them was Lee (who had changed hiw surname to West from Otter) supporting steps on tour ages ago.
Anyway the song... not my favourite north and south song.... and none of them were that great really... work it out.

I'm impressed by your choice of SoT so far Mr Popjustice, this to is a proud fine little pop song, which I remember, even if no-one else seems to, I seem to remember it was supposed to be called something else, but there was some legal problems with the name, but this could be a complete fabrication made up by my addled mind.

No, now you've said that, I remember that too. Weren't they banned from using the world Tarantino?

No, now you've said that, I remember that too. Weren't they banned from using the world Tarantino? wouldn't that be in contradiction with the singles' title? sorry - i'm in a smart-arsed mood at the moment. cheerio!

I've been thinking about this, and I'm pretty sure I now remember what the issue was, it wasn't a legal thing, I get the feeling that single was originally going to be called "Who do you think you are", but obviously, the Spice Girls got there first.
Am I right in this? Or just talking nonsense?

wouldn't that be in contradiction with the singles' title? Yes Mr Smart Arse - that would be the problem now, wouldn't it? But having said all of that, flum's theory rings a bell too. Oh, bugger it.
