Loved this one because Mr Mark Owen got to sing lead and I wanted to cry at the video ... I remember when they sang this live on their tour (November 14th 1993 - Birmingham NEC ) I nearly wept then too - I'm so emotional me !
Still love Mark Owen to this day bless him!

Did it really contain the clumsy lyric: "And the voice I once knew / answered in a sweet voice", or did I mishear / imagine that bit?
Either way, it always made me laugh.
Nice telephone sound effects as well. But Jimmy Nail used them to better effect first.

Hmmm I think it most probably did ... ponders for a while hmmm at least Mark Owen doesn't have to take the blame for that. Poor old Gary Barlow hey?

ouch...this song was really a shocker...
It came as a surprise, nay thunderbolt, when, having gone solo, Mark Owen revealed that actually, he could sing after all

Yeah, I wasn't mad about this song. I wasn't a Mark girl anyway at the time - I think it was the serious numbers of Mark fans who got this to no. 1 just because he was singing it. He sounds much better now, even if he doesn't look any older. I think he's 31 now...

He is bless him ... do you remember how he had to lie about his age for about the first 2 years of Take That's existence? He claimed to be the same age as Robbie who is two years younger than him - I did always love Mr Owen more than Mr williams ( he was my 2nd fave though).

Robbie was always my fave. I feel this is the only thread on the board where I can say that without being exiled forever!!!

I saw him in Edinburgh last month. This thread has new relevance, both for Mark's performance on cd:uk on Saturday, and Mark's performance with Robbie on Sunday. We're so ahead of the crowd!!

4 minute warning has really grown on me, wasn't sure at first. He's so ickle isn't he.
Thank god he didn't appear on-stage with Robbie on the Saturday night show. Was at home hammered watching it with mate and when Robbie started singing Babe got vaguely hysterical yelling 'Mark's going to come on !!!!' - needless to say was probably just as well he didn't, was fairly close to the edge as it was ! ;D
I have the CD single of Babe - I have no shame.

...but do you have the calendar version of the single?!
(I have even less shame than you, both for admitting that I have said single, and also for being quite proud that I DO have it)

That bit where it goes 'He had my smile (my smiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile)...' is the only song that give sme shivers. Even though I appreciate that the song is slightly bollocks.
