A friend of mine is getting married in July. Given that my friend is slightly, um, eccentric, her wedding reception is going to include a cabaret performed by the guests.
I have been told I've got to sing something whether I want to or not. I will be accompanied by a pianist who needs only to hear a tape (he doesn't read sheet music). My problem is thus: what the hell can I sing?
It needs to be vaguely witty and relevant, and something I can give a bit of oomph, even though I'm not exactly the world's best singer.
Your suggestions please...

Your suggestions please... I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing. Because you wouldn't. Normally. Do that kind of thing. Neither would I (but that's what I'd sing). And it's witty, and funny, and got a good tune. Everyone likes 'Very'-era Pet Shop Boys... Any good?

That is a genius idea. Bit difficult to sing, though.

I do like the idea of getting to sing the line "it was him or my f@g hag, oh well, I guess she never was that much of a friend". It seems oddly appropriate...

I give up...I'm not suggesting any Angry Anderson songs again!
