Smoking is very cool on TV and in films but in real life it smells bloody awful and makes me cough a lot.
I don't like it.

I don't smoke and I couldn't if I tried. Generally I think it looks minging but sometimes I envy the whole 'got a light' chat-up technique.
Bet I'm the most square here!

Don't smoke, never have, except when I'm pissed and I decide it looks really cool. I hate the way it makes my fingers smell!! Also don't like people who smoke in restaurants, or in my house without asking me.

i was in a pub the other day which had a eating area, me and my mates sat down to have a good pint etc, then this middle aged couple waltzed in sat table next to us and asked us to smoke elsewhere. I reply'd by blowing smoke in her direction and saying ' this is a smoking area, you should have seen her face!

Fair enough. The samw thing happened to a friend of mine the other day - we were in the pub, and she was smoking, and someone from a nearby table asked her not to!! In the pub!!! I would prefer it if people didn't smoke in the pub, but there's no grounds whatsoever for even passing comment if people do!

Aw the shame, yes I smoke. But weirdly I can go all day at work without wanting one but the minute I get home in the evening I begin chaining them !!
Multiply that by 100 when out on the lash.
Disgusting habit but I bloody enjoy it ! I think the trick is never to start.

i think smoking is very horny, i've been sucked into the media illusion. however, i don't smoke and never have. i'm so square No smoker me, either, but I have the same problem. I think it's because the victim object of my first crush smoked, and I always found it very sexy on him. It sometimes left me with an urge to lick his discarded cigarettes* (though thankfully i never did) * I shared too much, didn't I?

you can never share too much information with us,
if you begin sharing bodily fluids and toe-nail clippings with us then I'd reckon that would too much.

To quote the great Fran Liebowitz: "If you can't stand the smoke, stay in the kitchen."
In other words, being offended is a natural consequence of leaving one's home.
