They used to be made by Golden Wonder right? Im sure of it. I was just munching my way through a packet whilst on the phone to my mate and it just popped into my head. They haven't always been made by Walkers? She seemed to think they used to be made by Golden Wonder too. Any thoughts?

Golden Wonder sell Cheesy Poofs to Walkers! I'd not noticed! Although, that means nothing at all...

salt n' shake is now owned by Walkers, not Smiths Smiths was Walkers before it was Walkers I think. Sorry, I'm a bit of a crisp-a-holic. I take my Wosits (for a period I just used to eat Wosit sandwiches - I highly recommend them) and other potato snacks very seriously!

What happened to Golden Wonder? They used to make Pot Noodles too, didn't they? But now the Pot Noodle Snack Company make Pot Noodles. Which makes sense, I know, but i still find it a little sinister. I bet it's some sort of Walkers subsidiary. Everyone goes on about McDonalds and Starbucks and Gap, but Walkers are clearly the most ruthless corporation on the planet today. Pushing vile tasting corn snacks to obese eight year olds from Kentucky to Kilmarnock....

Smiths crisps were also taken over by Walkers ... my parents used to eat Smiths salt and shake crisps ... Monster Munch used to either be Smiths too I think.
Same as kit-kats and rolos used to be Rowntree instead of Nestle.

Same as kit-kats and rolos used to be Rowntree instead of Nestle. and what issues that brings. i could cope with not eating smarties (because of the baby blood content, clearly), but i find fruit pastilles harder to give up. but rowntrees was bought by nestle, I believe. so every fruit pastille damns my soul.....

Walkers are really American giant Frito-Lay which are in fact, of course, PepsiCo. They bought Wotsits last year, as part of the break up of Golden Wonder. Exciting eh?
Naturally, the sale made hundreds of snack-food industry workers in the UK redundant...*wanders off muttering about soapboxes*
