I have to produce an artifact about ANYTHING. Its not really the artifact itself that gains the most marks, but the investigations, research, and evaluation. But it would be nice to do a project which will keep me interested well into next year. Problem is the 'ANYTHING' topic is a bit broad. Some examples are leaflets, websites, posters, advertisements. again pretty much anything. But its the topic that I'm struggling with. You lot got any ideas for me? Just to let you know, Im your average 17 year old A2 student. I have no particular interests (grr) apart from typical studenty stuff, but obv I heart pop and all that kind of culture, because I'm on here half my life! I drive, I shop, I work at Woolworths, I drink too much, I go clubbing often.....can you think of anything based on the kind of stuff i do/am intersted in? (which i know isnt a lot!) I would be so grateful if you could throw a few ideas my way!

Ooh when I did comms most people did resources for schools and things like that ... erm trying desperately to remember what else we all did. We had to start ours over the summer, so I guess yours could be a bit different.

We were emant to research it over the summer, or at least come up with ideas, but our teacher is really lame and we never get any work done and all leave after half an hour of the lesson, whether we're allowed to or not. plus we only have one lesson a week of it now because our timetable is messed up.
I guess something for school would be easy, but i'd get so bored of it! problem with me, i have a very short attention span.

Design a website to meet the needs of a local primary school ... ( I could not do this as I do not have the first idea about how to design a website - but if you do that could be good).
Compile a leaflet of clubs, bars etc in your local area and what they have to offer. Your research would naturally involve lots of nights out but surely that's not a bad thing...?

you could do a handy leaflet on deciding what to do for your media coursework, given that everything released in the last two years has been a steaming schlock of shit, and your media teacher won't let you use 'girls aloud are really great' as your hypothesis.
or not.
i'm not entirely sure what comm studs are.
cheerio!

I'm a communications professional I am, (what what!) but I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about, which is a bit worrying.
What do you mean by an artifact? I think you should do a paper contrasting the attitudes of the Daily Mail and the Guardian towards the repatriation of asylum seekers.
That would be funny interesting.

Explaining why all the girls in school did/are doing better than you, and that you will make more than them in three years regardless is always a cracking good yarn.

I was predicted an A, but ended up getting a C, all because i got an E on one of the papers. grr. But nevermind, theres still this year to go, plus i am re-sitting. But yes we do still do those prophecies and windows! they musnt have changed the syllabus much, lazy gits.

That would be funny interesting. Here you go, in summary: The Guardian: Come in! We love you! We hate David Blunkett! He's a big racist monster for keeping some of you out!The Daily Mail: Fuck off! We hate you! We hate David Blunkett! He's a big soft touch for not keeping all of you out! Will that do?
