I know a few gay Erics, and Timothy must be a contender.
Never met a gay Patrick, but there must be plenty out there...

Further to my conversation with Mr Panda: Have I got a gay name?
I'm curious.

Further to my conversation with Mr Panda: Have I got a gay name? I'm curious. I like the idea of people, when deciding that they're a gaymo, picking a Gay name, like some sort of native American thing.. [INSERT PUNTASTIC GAY NATIVE AMERICAN NAME HERE]

I don't necessarily want a puntastic gay name. I'm not gay through and through, more like 93.575%. It just acts as a handy shorthand.
Probably. Who knows?

I thought there might be something relating to 'John' and 'Jon'. I would have thought Johns went one way, and Jons went the other...but I don't know. Maybe.

nicky and jamie and anything that ands with a y/ie are gay sounding names. Several female friends of mine used to call me 'Nicky' when I was 14 or 15. I stopped them doing it, but I quite missed it after a bit. I'm not a poofy little Nicky, though. I have four Andrews on my mobile phone. And they're all gay. Sorry, Andrew.

Actually James must be quite a gay name, on the grounds that I've known several gay couples where both guys were called James. this is, officially, a good thing - if somebody is called james, i will fancy them instantly. this is a proven fact. unless they are my dad. obviously. but he doesn't like to be called james. and is a knob. cheerio!

Never met a gay Patrick, but there must be plenty out there... there are (see: lovely patrick of the love pavilion fame) - patrick is another of my instantly faciable names *. cheerio! * what is most worrying is that, should i ever have children, i've chosen patrick james if he's a boy and a thoroughly pretencious name if she's a little girl.

My name means victory of the people.
And I'm the patron saint of children, sailors, merchants and pawnbrokers.
What a heavy, heavy responsibility. Something else for me to fail to live up to, then.
