Some of you must have lived in university halls at some point, so can you tell me? I was going to go and get a massive Smashing Pumpkins poster n stuff but if you're not allowed, well- I'll just put them up anyway, but they might give me shit for it.
Hmmm?

Not if it's a Smashing Pumpkins poster, no.
Unless it's the one for... Siamese Dream, or Today, or something, with the Japanese kids having an ice cream. That was OK.

It depends. I stayed in two LSE halls, one allowed posters, one didn't.
They may well send you a copy of your lease in advance. If posters aren't specifically prohibited then you will probably be ok.
Oh, and make sure the walls are ok for blue-tack before you put anything up. I ended up making huge holes in mine that had to be hastily covered with a combination of toothpaste and a friend's lipstick. I wonder why they haven't sent my deposit back yet........

We werent supposed to but given the onsite student shop sold tons of them every term I guess everyone ignored that rule.
Plus I think they were the only thing keeping the walls up

I had loadsa posters when I was in Halls, ah, my Spice Girls one, my SFA - Man Don't Give a Fuck One, my Shirley Manson/Cerys Matthews shrine... *remembers the days happily*
As long as you use blu-tack, you should be fine.

If you can get a pin-up board or something, that'd be aight. I suggest you get White Tac if you can't do that, less noticable than Blue Tac...

sussex, yeh? i've heard that you'll need a lot more than posters. complete interior redecoration. paint murals. papier mache would be nice. don't (as if you were tempted) hang throws. when i lived in college, the rooms had been 'donated' by kindly old girls, so you had to put up posters, otherwise there were little pictures of generous grinning old women on your walls...
sussex is still one big building site, actually, but i'm sure it'll be lovely in a week or so.
