All down to the internet & text messaging they say (come on people, 'fess up) I know it's all very serious & all due to STD - but I must say I love the name the DoH official came up with - it's so totally unappropriate, I think anyway. Check this out - news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3119024.stm. Wooof!

Yes because the majority of people visiting sites where the whole purpose is to have sex with remote strangers in fields really hadn't figured that out for themselves.
They know the risks, they just don't care.

Is this only news for heterosexualists?
Gayers have been having sex in parks for four years. At least.

It's probably not new to lots & lots of people - I very much realise I might not have known about this because it's not my scene.
It's just the dog-related name they came up with for the media - how silly.

I doubt it was one of us (me being a DoH official, sort of), we're not very creative with that sort of thing. My favourite bit was: So, any prosecution could rest on whether the member of the public was even slightly aroused... ;D

It reminds me of a story I read in a HIV/Aids awareness newsletter from the charity I volunteer for.
Apparently there's a new word in some parts of America for men who have sex with men but don't identify as gay: tippin'. Therefore, "are you tippin'?" = "do you have sex with men?"
Unfortunately, tipping is a word used by those in the country for the game of sneaking up behind sleeping cows and pushing them over.
We can only hope that no one is confused enough to push over sleeping gay men, or solicit sex from straight-acting cows.
