If I know my producers properly, this is the second of two nominations for Xenomania, and though this is a corking song, (a) it's not as good as Freak Like Me, and (b) Xenomania's other song will win.

Why this, and not Freak, which would have stood a good chance of winning??

Maybe Freak is too old?

It's not quite as good as Freak but it's very very very close, it is effortless aural shade and the refreshingest tonic of last summer and I still love it a little bit more each time I hear it. It's a billion times more substantial than it first appeared and it's PROPER LUSH.

Quite controversial, but I think I would have preferred 'Stronger' up there than 'Round Round'. It has a bit more 'substance'.

Stronger is great but Round Round is far more interesting/addictive/loveable/glorious/luscious.

round round is a slowly unfolding flirtation, freak like me was a torrid alleyway fuck... or something (i should stop making appalling metaphors out of these songs)
i like this much better than freak like me in fact its one of my very favourite songs and i hope it does super well
i wonder if mutley will start a fight with The Dark Destroyer when this loses out the no good advice? she looks hard as nails

I love round round. and people might not agree but it definately is the inspiration for SOTU.
I might vote this over NGA

Anyone remember the fantastic Xenomania remixes of Hollywood's 'Apocalypse Kiss?' Whether one does or not, 'Round Round' is a great chorus looking for a verse or two to turn it into a song.

P.S. When did "substance" come into the equation?

I don't think this is the prime source of material for SOTU, since I got the song confused with 'Addicted to Bass' the first time I heard it. And I prefer it to Freak because it is more conducive to gyrating the hips.
It's currently in my top 3 of those chosen, but I'm hoping SOTU is promoted to it's rightful place amongst the list. I have yet musically to analyse this song to the same extent as I have Daniel Cometobedingfield and SOTU, but if I am given judge status I will give every song the same amout of attention.
My plan at the moment is to recruit 20 homosexual men between 19 and 29 and make them all dance to each song. My verdict will result from the ensuing wiggling.

Despite the random metaphors... ;D Freak Like Me got old but I still love hearing Round Round. I prefer Shape to Stronger... by the way... ;D

'Round Round' has a bit that goes 'rou-ou-ou-ou-ou-ou-ound'. Very mighty. It also has a built in dance routine. Very instructive. It's just so mmm (that's not a normal mm noise im making there, it comes more from the back of the throat. So now you know.) It has the brilliant lyrics 'we'll ride stir-fried on the beat down low'. I want to ride stir-fried on the beat down low after hearing that, and I'm not even sure what that would involve! The intro is very ace. It kind of sounds like a whip and then there is the very excited 'woo'. I love this song.
