This is a thread for those songs that whilst they were great in our individual eyes, they failed to make the top 40, top 75, top 100 or perhaps were cancelled altogether.
My favourite has got to be Jewel's 'Intuition'. It had one of the best videos of the year whilst the track was undoubtedly Britney-with-a-brain. I think it charted somewhere between 40-50. It was great nonetheless.
What else?

I'm not known for my memory, so this is a pretty hard one for me. but I'd have to say Boomkat - The Wreakoning. It's like nothing I've ever heard before. I wouldn't have even known it had been released if I wasn't listening to the top 40 one sunday and heard that it only just scraped into the top 40, i'm not too sure of its exact position. More Boomkat please!

Overrated by Siobhan definately.
Also Sunshine by Gareth Gates, although it wasn't technically a flop, it was for him.

I made my friend in London buy both cd's of 'Twist of fate' for me, though. Just in time for her to, er, miss the Top 40. He called her S. Donkey in a text message, by the way.

Was Dead or alive's you spin me round this year? That was very good. It should have done much better than it did.

It was very good though, fantastic all the way down to the lead singer's indentikit Toni and Guy fringe.

It took about a second to check that 'Spin me around' went to number 23 second time 'round'.

Who is Jewel? Although I don't know anything about her - I'll say Jewel. Only becuase I've never heard of her. She was/is an American folk style singer who had massive success there but none here. She changed her image a bit for her latest album '0304' and the first single from it was 'Intuition' it did not make the top 40 and I think the album scraped the top 100.

Who is Jewel? Although I don't know anything about her - I'll say Jewel. Only becuase I've never heard of her. She's huge in America but fairly unknown here. She's like a more mature Britney. Personally, I think her lack of promotion is to blame for her bad chart position, rather than the stupidity of the public.

More Boomkat please! Agreed, this is the woman Britney has been embarrasingly aping for the last year or so... To be quite frank 'The Wreckoning' seems to be by far the best track on the album...But she has so much potential! In the event that she gets dropped (unlikely) she's bound to get snapped up another record company.
