I know he's as mad as a lorry but whyyyyy doesn't anyone appreciate his genius anymore? Of course the finger of blame points at Martin Bashir, but loads of his recent stuff has been really underrated, Blood On The Dancefloor and Ghosts for example. Oh, and Earth Song (which has suffered the pop injustice of being nominated for that 'Worst 100 singles of all time' thing on c4). His older stuff was better, yes, but am I alone in thinking that his stuff in the mid 90s was also pretty darn fab? While we're talking about Michael's genius, here's a picture of him with a cute tiger when he was nice looking.

I heard 'Earth Song' t'other day and remembered its brilliance. It is very long and best viewed with the video for full effect, but I think it is fantastico. That Bashir interview didn't make me like Jackson any less, It just highlighted how extreme and intense fame can screw a person up. I think too many people took it at face value. His mid 90s stuff was pretty cool. The video with Lisa Marie Presley in it was quite disturbing. Never could see Jacko as a 'sexual being'.
