don't dispair. i have lost my wallet many times, and some kind soul always returns it.

once i even got it back when i left it on the metro. in newcastle. with all the cash intact. a nice lady handed it in to a library (it had my card in) and they posted it to me.

another time, a man found it in the street, and it had all my holiday cash in (i was going to buy pesetas. remember them?). he phoned me and i went to his house and took him a huge bar of chocolate. only when i got there he had no teeth and couldn''t eat it. the end.

I asked a copper at work yesterday, and he gave me numbers to call. All is (mostly) sorted.
